Technical

Painting is a very complex art as it requires previous knowledge to shape a landscape, a face or a feeling. What is important when learning to paint, you play with colors, shapes and shadows

Watercolor

Watercolor is a painting on paper or cardboard with colors diluted in water. The colors used are transparent (depending on the amount of water in the mixture) and sometimes fail to see the bottom of the paper (white), which acts as another true pitch. It consists of pigments bound with gum arabic and honey. In their procedures use the clear coat paint, in order to achieve greater brilliance and fluency in the composition being made

The technique "transparent" watercolor washes involves the superposition of fine and is based on the whiteness of the paper for its effects and highlights. As overlap more washes the color deepens. The color of watercolor can be modified by adding or removing water, using brushes, sponges or rags.

The watercolor gives us many possibilities ... the washing technique allows us to create a gradient or washed uniforms, even overlapping colors. With the wet on wet technique in watercolor paint on wet and support, giving us a different effect. We can also wash once dry pigment, depending on the paper, pigment and water temperature. The cleaning sponge or other absorbent, scraping, are examples of the broad possibilities of watercolor.

Oil

In art Oil is known as the oils that are used to combine with other substances and thus obtain a product suitable for painting and by extension, were calling the same painting oil paintings themselves.

.- To paint brushes brushes need, although not essential, because we can give the color and mix it with the fingers, spatulas, toothpicks, canes or whatever you want, but it is often easier with brushes.

. The brushes can take three forms: round, square and oval. And according to what animal are squirrel hair, sable, mongoose, bristle and there are also synthetic hair that I do not recommend, but some people just use these.

There are also different sizes that are referenced by a number. We use only the numbers, 4, 8, 12, 16.

The spatula .- To the mixtures on the palette, which is where we usually need a spatula, the most convenient is the swamp type similar to the masons but much smaller.

Support .- T is the surface on which we execute our work. It should start with the wall, we believe it is easier to acquire or rack-mounted canvas cloth stuck on cardboard. Here too there is great variety.

The fabrics can be cotton or linen and there are basically blend the two. Any of them can be fine-grained, medium and coarse. Burlap is used less for its coarse texture.

The fabrics or canvases are mounted on a wood frame. These racks are already standard measures.

The fabrics, initially at least, is better prepared to buy your primer is a thin layer of a painting made with rabbit skin glue, gypsum, zinc white and water.

But easier, you can purchase "White Primer" is an acrylic painting, if we want to prepare a surface for painting after oil. The primer is needed to hold the oil well and not fall.

The ridge is the element that will support while holding the paint.

We can also make do resting on a table in a box hanging on the wall, and so on. but his is an easel. Also there are many models and prices.

Cleaning elements .- It is also necessary to turpentine, soap and toilet paper to clean the brushes when we finish each painting session.

The study .- I guess I have room or a corner to start painting, a table which will have the colors, palette, brushes, etc.. or coffee table and a table or the like, although it may be the same table, where the elements that will serve as a model to begin the first lessons.
